The first tent tent erected for the 2018 HCC festival will be set to be open in early September, but it’s not set to hold the festival’s main event.
The tent, which was erected for a sold-out outdoor festival in January, will not hold the grand finale of the festival in early October, organizers said Friday.
The event, which will run through Sept. 22, will be held at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History.
HCC Festival Director Mark Hargreaves said Friday that the tent was set up for the summer.
He added that the event will still take place on the same grounds.
Hargreson said the tent is designed to hold up to 20 people and will feature a 360-degree view of the park.
He said the space will allow the festival to get away from its usual festival venues and will allow for a more diverse crowd.
The new tent will have a maximum capacity of 35 people.
The festival was scheduled to be held in Washington, D.C., but was moved to the National Mall because of safety concerns.
Hagganson said in a statement that the new tent, and the festival itself, are in “the best shape of our lives” and that the outdoor tent will continue to serve as the “ultimate home for all of our fans.”
Hagginson said there will be new tents and seating areas in the new space.
He also said the tents will be open on Fridays and Saturdays to allow for more crowds.
Hcctech tent set for opening Sept. 28, 2018 Hcc Festival will be a tent fest, said Haggsonson in a post on the event’s Facebook page.

HCC Tent Set to Open Sept. 30, 2018 The festival has been in the works for more than a year, Haggson said.
The first HCC tent, constructed in 2017, will open in September.
That tent, tenting, will feature an 360-degrees view of Washington, the Capitol and other locations.
The site of the tent, known as the National Park Gateway, is set to open to the public on Sept. 29.
The tents will remain closed until the gates are opened.
The Hcc tent will open to fans during the event, and Haggonson said people who come to the event from out of town can stay there.
