IBM (IBM) will use cloud-computing technologies to power Watson, its new artificial intelligence software, according to a report from The Information.IBM is looking to leverage its IBM Cloud service for Watson to provide new AI capabilities, said the report, citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter.
The company will use the IBM Cloud to create its Watson software platform, but the cloud service will be available to any IBM developer and not just IBM developers.IBD, or Integrated Development Environment, is a software suite that enables developers to develop applications on IBM’s cloud.
It’s also a software framework that enables software developers to deploy their applications across the IBM Watson platform.IBB Watson will use IBM’s Watson Cloud Platform to create new AI applications.
The IBM Cloud Platform is currently being used to develop Watson AI applications and will continue to be used for other Watson-related services, the report said.IBMs Watson platform is not yet available for use in the enterprise, but some analysts have said that could change in the future.
In the meantime, Watson has become a common way for companies to get their products onto the Watson platform and has proven its value in a number of areas, including the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
