A new generation of canvas trolley bags has been launched by the Government.
The new bags are being rolled out across the country by rail operators and local authorities.
In a statement the Government said: “The trolley bag is a must-have item for any garda station or any time you’re out and about.”
The trolleys will have a wide range of colour, size and style options and we’ve been working closely with the local authority to make sure they have the correct fit for any occasion.
“The new canvas trolley bags will have wider carry-on capacity than the existing canvas bag.
The Government has also issued new guidelines for the use of canvas in a variety of applications including for the sale of clothing.
The first trollettes will be rolled out on a limited basis in the north of Ireland and will be distributed to the public via a free distribution of the bags on a first come, first served basis.
In an effort to provide a more environmentally friendly option for commuters travelling to work, the Government has made it clear that the trollette will not contain any glass, plastic or paper.
There are currently no plans to increase the number of trolletas available for sale.
The troller bags are designed to be folded into a simple, easy-to-carry, easy to carry bag, and they will be available in various sizes.
There is a limited supply of trolley trollets and bags currently in the market.
