Donald Trump has yet to say whether he’ll be paid for the new ad, which is expected to air on television.
The Hill’s Aaron Blake reports that Trump is not yet aware of the ad, although he does have “a great relationship” with the company behind it.
He says that he has no idea if the ad will air.
“I don’t know if I’ll get paid.
I’m not paying them yet.
I think it’s too early to tell,” Trump told The Hill.
He added that he “would like to see it run, but I have no idea.”
The ad will run on MSNBC and Fox News Channel.
“It will be airing tonight,” Blake says.
Trump has not been paid for any of his appearances in recent months.
The Washington Post reported earlier this month that the president has received $6.7 million in speaking fees for speeches he gave in his native country, Saudi Arabia, as well as $9.7,000 for a “private speaking engagement” he held in a New York hotel last month.
Trump also reportedly received $25,000 to $50,000 in campaign contributions from the country in 2016, according to the Washington Post.
Trump did not respond to requests for comment.
