An app-based login for canvas.org has landed.
The developers behind it say that this plugin lets you get started on the canvas by simply logging in with your Google account, or by adding a browser extension.
“With this plugin, you can create an account on canvas.io, and then you can login and use your browser to browse the web,” the developers wrote.
“You can also set up your own browser extension so that you can easily create your own username, password, and other unique information, and access your favorite canvas sites.”
You can also register for a new account using the browser’s built-in registration page.
“For the moment, the developer only has one client, which is Google,” the creators wrote.
The new plugin supports two-factor authentication, which lets you access the app’s functionality if you already have a Google account.
If you’ve already created a Google login, you’ll be prompted for a password to complete the setup process.
If it’s not the first time you’ve logged in to canvas.in, the app will automatically generate a new password.
The company also said it has “a few more features planned” for the plugin, including a native canvas web browser, a canvas app launcher, and a canvas login experience.
The team said it will also continue to work on adding more features.
“It’s really cool to see that developers are embracing this and actively developing web apps that leverage canvas,” co-founder and CEO Chris O’Brien said in a statement.
“The canvas.net team has been very excited to work with the browser developers and browser extension makers on this plugin.”
You’ll be able to download the canvas plugin from the developers’ website.
It will be available in the coming days.
